Melifestation started from a simple observation: every manifestation app teaches you how to ask, and none of them stays with you while you wait. And the waiting is ninety per cent of it.
The name
Melissa plus manifestation. There's nothing deeper to it: it's the name of the person building it, inside the word for what it does.
The rules we set ourselves
- We promise no results. Not here, not in the app, not in a notification.
- We never say a bad thing is secretly good. And we will never imply you attracted a bereavement or an illness.
- We don't use guilt to bring you back. No streaks to defend, no notifications that leave you in debt.
- We don't want your time. Open the app too often in a day and we'll tell you to close it. That's the opposite of how this industry works.
- We say the price first. The yearly cost is written plainly on the paywall, always.
How we make money
Subscriptions, and only subscriptions. No advertising, no selling data, no five-thousand-euro course at the end of a funnel. If you don't subscribe, you keep the nightly practice and the notebook forever.
We say this because it's also a product decision: if we made money from advertising, we couldn't afford to tell you to close the app.
What we are not
We are not therapists, doctors or financial advisers. Melifestation is a personal-growth tool and replaces none of those.
If you're going through something hard or thinking of hurting yourself, don't use an app. In the UK Samaritans answer free on 116 123; in the US you can call or text 988; in Italy Telefono Amico is on 02 2327 2327.
Write to us
The project is early and things can still change. If you have an idea, a criticism or something that doesn't sit right, write to hello@melifestation.com — we read everything.
The app is coming, for iPhone and Android. Free to try.
